About
The IPAC Centre for Governance Dialogue is a project of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada. Its aim is to build a clearance house and a network to explore and debate the best practices and ideas in the creation and facilitation of dialogue between the public and the state. This project was funded in part by the Canada School of Public Service.
By using our searchable literature database and our interactive toolkits, public sector managers (as well as scholars and social entrepreneurs) will acquaint themselves with the strategies and methods that have been empirically shown to improve the performance of government in exchanging ideas with the citizenry. It is our hope that by strengthening dialogue, the processes of collaboration, partnership and governance will be enhanced.
Through its many publications and activities, IPAC has long recognized constructive dialogue with the citizenry as a critical ingredient in the future success of governance. Better dialogue with the citizenry is consistent with administrative efficiency, popular legitimacy and pride for both citizens and civil servants.
This web site furthers our commitment to help enhance this dialogue of governance.
